Classic case of 'the client wants what the client wants'. Priding herself on representing coastal beach communities, using a palm tree and water was a 'must-have'. Sometimes, a designer is forced to put creative differences aside and provide the best service to the client regardless.
EVEN THOUGH INTRIGUED BY THE MULTI-COLORS OF OPTION C, THE CLIENT WANTED A MORE DETAILED PALM TREE AND THE SAME FONT AS THE ORIGINAL LOGO. AFTER PROVIDING A QUICK RENDITION WITH THE SERIF FONT REPLACED BY ITALIC 'MARKER FELT', THE DESIRE TO KEEP THE ORIGINAL STYLE PERSISTED.
ULTIMATELY, THE CLIENT WANTED THE ORIGINAL LOGO (LEFT) JUST VECTORIZED SO IT WOULDN'T LAY ON A WHITE RECTANGLE BACKGROUND WHEN PLACED OVER IMAGES ON THE WEB OR PRINTED ADVERTISEMENTS. PERSONALLY, I WAS HOPING TO WORK OFF OF THE SECOND OPTION (RIGHT) AND COLLABORATE FURTHER TO ACHIEVE A NEW RESULT. CLIENT SATISFACTION IS WHAT AN EXPERIENCED DESIGNER FOLLOWS THROUGH WITH CONSISTENTLY.
